SUMMARY

St Andrew's Old Church, Riverbank, Bishopthorpe.

Work to re-profile and preserve the existing riverbank, using stone filled gabions founded on stone armouring, backfilled with reclaimed aggregate and reprofiled with geotextile and topsoil. Construction of extended channels for outflows, with reinforced concrete walkway over. This project was funded by The National Lottery Heritage fund and took twelve weeks.
